About Us
Please feel free to join us for worship. We strive to provide a worship atmosphere in which God is honored, praised, and each worshiper is enriched by the Word of God. We are confident you will find the Western Hills family to be a friendly group of Christians. We would love to have you and everyone in your family as our guest. We have classes for all ages and children are welcome in our worship services.We have two Sunday morning worship services; one at 8:15 and the other at 10:30. Between these two worship services we have Bible classes. Cradle Roll (0-12 months & 13-24 months) and adult classes meet in our main building and classes for 2 year olds up to 12th grade meet in our education building. Our adult Bible classes study various books of the Bible on Sundays. We have four adult Bible classes: Adults 1 (auditorium), Adults 2 (room 126), Adults 3 (room 132), and Adults 4 (room 122). Our children in 1st - 5th grades enjoy a rotation model of Bible classes on Sunday mornings. All children in these grades meet in our Kids 4 Christ classroom first before going to their classes. Cradle Roll, Preschool, and Kindergarten aged children are taught using Life Links curriculum by 21st Century Christian. Teens study topical and textual material.
On Wednesday evenings we have a short devotional and then break into classes; the devotional begins at 7:00. Our Wednesday evening Bible classes are topical studies, and we have three adult classes. We have an auditorium class, Ladies' class (room 126) and a general adult class (room 132). For Wednesday evening classes children in 1st - 5th grades will meet in their respective grade classroom each week. Sunday nights we have a worship service only which begins at 5:00.
Whichever service you choose to visit, we hope you will feel comfortable as we honor God together in our worship. We encourage the entire family from infant to empty-nester to join us. For those families who would like nursery services during worship we have four ways to serve you. During our 10:30 worship service we have an attended nursery for infants 0-24 months. We also have a Family Nursery available for parents who would like to sit with their children outside the auditorium, and a Mothers' Nursery for nursing mothers. Both nurseries are located on the west side of the auditorium. Finally, Bible Hour is provide for children ages 3-5 following the Lord's Supper (or communion) at the 10:30 service only.
